“ Relating to, involving or influencing several generations ”
If we contemplate the term ‘legacy’ or the importance of an intergenerational discourse or possibly how an artist has contributed to the foundation for female abstract painting in Australia you can look no further than Angela Brennan.
Expanding four decades of practice in the framework of painting and ceramics, Atoms and Passions is an intergenerational celebration placing the prominent Angela Brennan together with two aspiring artists Madeline Simm and Augusta Vinall Richardson.
Brennan’s highly regarded colourfield, abstract and emotive paintings are in prominent International and Australian public collections: National Gallery of Australia; National Gallery of VIctoria; TarraWarra Museum of Art, Victoria: Art Gallery of South Australia, Adelaide; World Bank Collection, New York; MountBlanc Art Collection, Switzerland.
