Western Australian abstract painter Kirwan-Ward (Born 1949) sees a recent development and an interest in the opacity and transparency in colour displaying exquisite geometrical forms and challenging the compositional planes - inbetween time and space, flatness and dimension, interior and exterior.
In his career that has spanned five decades, which is a milestone achievement with major paintings acquired in prestigious public institutional collections like National Gallery of Scotland, Art Gallery of Western Australia and National Gallery of Australia and other major private collections like Kerry Stokes Collection and Janet Holmes à Court Collection, Kirwan-Ward´s oeuvre is primarily interested in evoking a sense of atmospheric pleasure and metaphorical colour through non-representational painting.
CHAUFFEUR is pleased to present a suite of new abstract paintings by Jeremy Kirwan-Ward for his debut solo exhibiiton in Sydney.
Other major collections include The University of Western Australia Collection, ANU Collection, Murdoch University Collection, Curtin University Collection, Bankwest Collection, Wesfarmers Collection amongst many private collections in the UK, Australia and India.
